Being more energy efficient
To make the world a better place we need to be more energy efficient. There are many ways to do this including using energy efficient light bulbs, which I have in my home, and are said to save 500 pounds of coal each. We also need to seriously start looking for an alternative fuel source or sources. I think that coal was used so much more than we realize and that we might actually have to look for more than one type of energy to replace it. But it can and should be done. We can also switch to more energy efficient cars, I think that this is a huge problem right now and if people drove more energy efficient cars then the oil that is left in the world would last longer. Cars in America are HUGE. Most bigger vehicles get below 20 miles per gallon. If commuters switched to cars with better gas mileage, somewhere around 30 miles per gallon, and then even went the extra step and started car pooling, then an unimaginable amount of oil would be saved. Recycling could also have a big impact on what happens to the world. Instead of throwing everything away when we are done we could recycle it to be reused thus creating a more energy efficient world.
